Students in the after school Dabkeh and Percussion program learn more about the Arabic culture through learning about its arts; Dabkeh and Tableh. Dabkeh is a traditional folk dance and it literally means "stomping" because the dance heavily relies on steps that require the dancers to stomp their feet. Students also learn how to play basic rythms on the Arabic drum, which is either called Tableh or Darboukeh depending on the Arabic country. Students play on drums that were brought from Jordan.
